Overwhelmed

You are not alone. Everyone feels this way at some time during their preparation for the boards. Don’t put unnecessary pressure on yourself. As a medical student you are a professional test-taker. Guess what? The boards are just another test.

If you think about it the boards are no different than any other test you have taken in medical school. Yes, there are more questions and more material to cover but you also have more time to prepare. You’re a pro at this! You can do it!

Try to relax. Take some time to get away from studying and have some fun. Go to the movies or go workout. Studying right now will not be productive- so don’t do it! Remember this is a marathon it is not a sprint! Don’t look at the big picture. Attack each day as its own entity- set attainable goals and achieve them each day. Continue to take one day at a time and work hard. By doing this you will achieve great success.
