Dumb

You’re feeling dumb?? Welcome to studying for the boards!! Everyone goes through this phase but the reasons why are usually not credible. Here’s an example: you have reviewed 75 drugs in the past week. A friend asks you a question about drug #1 and can’t recall the answer. You panic that you can’t remember anything about any of these drugs= you feel dumb.

Do you remember how complex the human brain is? (If you can’t answer that question you are not dumb) It is very complex. While studying for the boards you will be amazed at how tid bits of information pop out of your head automatically. You won’t know where it came from and in a day you may not remember it but it will still be in there…somewhere. If you can’t answer a question correctly learn why. Reviewing answer explanations for both the questions you got right and wrong are priceless to your board preparation.

You are smart! You have achieved a lot in your lifetime! Continue to work hard one day at a time and you will achieve even more!
